Update May 2026: Included details on the Pro Model.

Accessibility is the cornerstone of Goat Funded Trader’s offering, with two paths to the funded phase. It also offers an instant-funding model that lets you move to the funded phase.

This Goat Funded Futures review goes through the rules governing the challenges and funded phases for all account options. This includes differences between accounts to help you find the one with the best value for your money.

Goat Funded Futures at a Glance

Goat Funded Futures have three available options. Below is a breakdown of those plans.

EOD

50K 100K 150K
Profit Target $3,000 $6,000 $9,000
Max Drawdown Limit $2,000 $3,000 $4,500
Drawdown Type EOD EOD EOD
Max Contracts 5 mini / 50 micro 9 mini / 90 micro 12 mini / 120 micro
Daily Drawdown None None None
Reset Fee $49 $99 $149
Consistency Rating (Evaluation) 50% 50% 50%
Consistency Rating (Funding) 30% 30% 30%

The Goat Funded Futures account is named after its drawdown policy, where losses are counted at the end of the day (EOD). This is the standard account with an easier drawdown rule in exchange for going through the evaluation with a consistency rule.

Sprint

25K 50K 100K
Profit Target $1,500 $3,000 $5,000
Max Drawdown Limit $1,000 $2,000 $3,000
Drawdown Type Trailing Intraday Trailing Intraday Trailing Intraday
Max Contracts 3 mini / 30 micro 5 mini / 50 micro 7 mini / 70 micro
Daily Drawdown None None None
Reset Fee $36 $59 $89
Consistency Rating (Evaluation) None None None
Consistency Rating (Funding) 30% 30% 30%

As the name indicates, the Sprint plan is all about speeding up the evaluation process by removing the consistency rule. The compromise is an intraday drawdown policy that counts unrealised profits and gains in real time instead of at the end of the day. This drawdown policy is present in both the evaluation and funded phases.

Instant

25K 50K 75K 100K 150K
Daily drawdown $750 $1,500 $2,250 $3,000 $4,500
Max Drawdown Limit $1,250 $2,500 $3,750 $5,000 $7500
Drawdown Type Trailing Intraday Trailing Intraday Trailing Intraday Trailing Intraday Trailing Intraday
Max Contracts 3 mini / 30 micro 4 mini / 40 micro 5 mini / 50 micro 6 mini / 60 micro 8 mini / 80 micro
Consistency Rating 20% 20% 20% 20% 20%

The main draw of the Instant model is the ability to skip the evaluation phase. It also has several account size options, making the instant model accessible for some traders. The exchange to skipping the challenge is stricter rules and payout requirements, such as a lower consistency rating and an intraday drawdown.

Pro

50K 100K 150K
Profit Target $3,000 $6,000 $9,000
Max Drawdown Limit $2,000 $4,000 $6,000
Drawdown Type EOD EOD EOD
Max Contracts 3 mini / 30 micro 5 mini / 50 micro 8 mini / 80 micro
Daily Drawdown None None None
Reset Fee $74 $124 $174
Consistency Rating (Evaluation) 50% 50% 50%
Consistency Rating (Funding) None None None

The Pro plan is another path to funding that features no consistency rule during the funded phase. It also has a higher max drawdown limit than the EOD plan.

Goat Funded Futures Evaluation

Both the EOD and Sprint plans have to go through the evaluation phase before you start working on the payout requirement. This involves reaching the profit target for your account while avoiding the drawdown. Below are notable factors during this stage.

  • News Trading: During the evaluation, you are allowed to trade the news. Note that this is usually prohibited due to the high risk of slippage and sharp price spikes that can breach accounts. News trading is restricted when you reach the funded phase. You can only make trades 2 minutes before and after a major news event, such as FOMC meetings and PPI.
  • No Time Limit: There is no time pressure for you to hit the profit target.
  • Zero Activation Fee: Goat Funded Futures lets you transition to the funded phase without paying for an activation fee when you pass the evaluation.
  • Consistency Rating: The EOD accounts need to have a consistency rating of 50% to pass the evaluation. However, Sprint accounts do not have to meet any consistency rule.
  • Reset: Both the EOD and Sprint accounts have a reset option should you fail the evaluation. Note that this is only available where a second reset is not available.

Goat Funded Futures Funded

Upon passing the EOD or Spring challenges or purchasing the Instant model, you move to the funded phase. There are notable rules here go through.

Trailing Drawdown

The drawdown for all funded accounts uses a trailing feature. It starts with the drawdown threshold being the initial balance minus your account’s drawdown. If you are on the 100K Sprint account, for example, the starting threshold is $95,000. Hitting that threshold will hard breach your account.

That threshold increases with each realized and unrealized gain you make. If your position sees $1,500 of unrealized gains, the threshold becomes $96,500. The drawdown threshold continues to grow until it reaches your account’s initial amount, which is $100,000 for our example. That threshold will not go up or down.

Note that the Sprint and Instant are following the trailing intraday rule. If your unrealized P/L hits the threshold in real time, you breach your account. For EOD account traders, your unrealized losses breach your account if it hits the threshold at the end of the day.

Daily Loss Limit

During the funded phase, both the EOD and Instant models follow a daily drawdown rule. The rule limits the amount you can lose in one day. Upon hitting the daily drawdown, all trades are paused until the next trading session.

News Trading Restriction

Unfortunately for news traders, Goat Funded Futures require you to close any positions 2 minutes before a news release occurs. This includes financial report releases and other significant geopolitical events. In addition, you must close your positions before the end of a market session. This rule restricts swing trading or any means of tapping multi-day price changes.

Maximum Daily Profit

Note that the EOD, Sprint, and Instant accounts have a daily profit limit, which is 5% of your initial account. When you reach the maximum daily profit, your trades are suspended until the next session.

Scaling Plan

The number of contracts you can trade is locked behind a scaling plan. When you can reach 2.5% gains within 15 days, you gain access to one additional mini. The scale stops when it reaches the maximum contract available for your account sizes.

Algorithm or Bot Trading

Utilization of trading bots or algorithm trading software is allowed in Goat Funded Futures as long as it follows normal practices. Attempts at using automated trading to manipulate the simulated trading platform are prohibited. This includes high-frequency trading methods that execute several trades within a second.

Scalping

Scalping is allowed, but is highly restricted. Goat Funded Futures does not allow microscalping, which involves trades closed within two minutes. Closing a trade within two minutes will not result in a breached account. Instead, any profits gained through this practice are reversed while losses remain.

The two-minute microscalping rule is a significant drawback for scalpers since it is too long to capture lucrative opportunities. Some futures prop firms have a microscalping rule that is much more flexible, with restrictions on trades that last for less than a minute instead of two minutes.

Payout Rules

The important part of our Goat Funded Futures is the payout requirement for all accounts. Below are details on the requirements and other significant rules.

100% Profit Share

Goat Funded Futures’ most marketed feature is their 100% profit share, which means you get your entire gains upon your payout. However, this is only eligible for the first 10K of your gains. The profit cut reverts to 90/10 after withdrawing $10,000 of your profit. If you are on the Pro account, you start off with the 90/10 profit split.

Winning Days Requirement

Both the EOD and Instant models require a minimum of 7 winning days to be eligible for a payout, while the Sprint and Pro models only require 5 days. You need gains that are equal to 0.2% of your account’s initial balance to meet the winning day requirement. The 0.2% gains requirement is more difficult than in some futures prop firms that require a flat amount of $100.

Consistency Rule

The EOD, Sprint, and Instant funded accounts need to meet the consistency rule during this phase since it is a part of the payout requirement. For both EOD and Sprint accounts, your single-day profit should not exceed 30% of your total profit. Instant-funded accounts have a stricter consistency rule of 20%. If you do exceed the consistency rate of your account, you only need to make more gains across several days until you reach the required consistency. The exception to this requirement is the Pro account.

Who Are The Goat Funded Futures Account For?

Having gone through the rules and differences between the accounts with our Goat Funded Futures review, the question now is to pick the right plan for your trading preference. Below is a discussion on what plan is suited for certain traders.

EOD Account

The Standard account suits day traders and scalpers who want more room to take on risk in exchange for higher payout potential. That comes from its flexible end-of-day drawdown rule, which gives you time to recover if your unrealized P&L temporarily drops into the drawdown zone. It also allows more contracts at the top end of the scaling plan than both the Sprint and Instant accounts.

There are drawbacks to the EOD, including a higher price tag for its accounts than the Sprint model. You also need to complete more winning days with the EOD model.

Sprint Account

Sprint accounts have no consistency rule during the evaluation and have a shorter winning days requirement. True to its name, the model is designed to have you quickly achieve a faster payout than the EOD account. Smart traders who can handle the consistency rating will satisfy the payout requirement within the first week. The exchange for the perks is the use of an intraday drawdown rule.

Instant Account

The Instant account is for anyone who wants to immediately start earning on the funded phase and has no issues with the stricter rules. With a 20% consistency rating requirement and an intraday drawdown policy, traders are encouraged to set tighter stops and make quick exits on their positions.

It’s also for those who do not want to risk wasting time and money on failing the challenge. Immediate access to funds is a major perk for traders who can manage the risk and make up for the costs with reasonable profits through this account plan.

Pro Account

Anyone who wants to complete the payout requirement without the consistency rule will make the most use of the Pro Account. This perk is a major improvement since the highest consistency percentage is 30% during the funding phase. With the only requirement being the 5 winning days minimum, you are not pressured to adjust your daily gains just to be eligible for a payout. In addition, you also enjoy a higher maximum loss limit. Both the lack of a consistency rule and higher MLL give you more room for risks on your trades.

The drawback of the Pro Account is its price, which is more costly than the EOD and Sprint accounts. It also does not let you enjoy the 100% profit share that Goat Funded Futures is advertising on their front page. While the 100% is limited to $10,000 in total payout amount, that is still a 10% gain that Pro Account traders can never obtain.

Final Word

The major perk for Goat Funded Futures traders is the 100% profit share, which ends at a reasonably high 90% share after the first 10K payout. It also offers a reasonable evaluation requirement for both the EOD and Sprint accounts by allowing news trading for both accounts, as well as a consistency rule for the former model. You can also work on your withdrawable payout during the funding phase without the consistency rule with the Pro account.

Behind those perks are strict policies that make the payout challenging for any trader. The 30% consistency rating for both EOD and Sprint, along with the tight 20% consistency requirement of the Instant model, makes large winning and losing days punishing for anyone aiming for a payout. If you choose the Pro account for the removal of the strict consistency rating, you will miss out on the 100% profit cut. There is also the winning days requirement and maximum daily profit limit that makes the payout less frequent than what other futures prop firms offer.

If you can deal with the trading policies, Goat Funded Futures is still a reliable prop firm due to its consistent payout process.

FAQ

Do you need KYC verification before getting funded or paid?

EOD and Sprint traders need to complete KYC before the account is upgraded to funded status, while Instant traders need to finish KYC before the first payout. The process usually requires a government-issued photo ID and proof of address dated within the last 3 months.

What happens to my positions if I hit the daily loss limit?

If you hit the daily loss limit, your positions are automatically liquidated or closed at the nearest possible price. Note that the daily loss limit rule is only for EOD and Instant funded accounts.

Can you hedge positions across multiple accounts?

Hedging can breach your account, no matter the methods. This includes holding opposition positions across multiple accounts.
